3 Experiences That Reminded Me Of The Importance of Our Inclusive Community

This episode is about Confessions, Community & Employee Resource Groups.

I’ve got a confession to make, it’s something that I’ve wanted to address for a while but I’ve only just decided to address it now.

In todays show I discuss several things including:

  • My confession and how I plan to address it
  • Three recent experiences that have reminded me of the importance of building a community
  • My new contribution towards creating change and much much more

Here’s some of what I share in the show:

My Confession:

I talk about the confession that I need to make to you all and what I’m going to do to make amends:

“There’s something that I talk about all the time that I haven’t done and I’m not happy about it”

The Importance of Creating a Community:

I describe why community is so important for employee resource groups:

“There is a staggering body of evidence that suggests that one of the primary reasons for individuals to join an employee resource group is to foster a sense of community”

Communicating more with you:

I explain why we want to encourage more communication about everything we discuss:

“It occurred to me that we should do more to cultivate a dialogue not only between for example me and you. But between you and other listeners. A Community”
